LUCIJA MRZLJAK
Lucija Mrzljak is an illustration artist and director of animated films born in 1990 in Zagreb. She studied at art academies in Zagreb, Krakow, Prague and Tallinn. She got her master’s degree in animated film in Estonia, where after her studies she started working as a director in the film studio “Eesti Joonisfilm”. Her animated films have been screened and awarded at animation film festivals around the world. Since 2016, she has been regularly illustrating for the famous Estonian children’s magazine Täheke. She published several illustrated books for children in collaboration with Croatian and Estonian authors and exhibited illustrations at numerous group exhibitions throughout Europe and Russia. She lives and works in Tallinn as a director, freelance illustrator and professor at the Estonian Academy of Fine Arts.
Mala zvona published the picture book Flowers of Fever by Estonian author Indrek Koff, illustrated by Lucija Mrzljak (2022.).
